Why do I need a Media Library? Can't I just upload screenshots in the ticket?
You can upload directly in the ticket form — but the Media Library solves a real problem: you test on your phone but may want to write the report on your computer.
Without the library, you'd need to transfer screenshots from phone to computer first. With the library:

Getting Started
What is the PressBlk beta testing program?
PressBlk is a marketplace app connecting consumers with Black-owned businesses. As a beta tester, you get early access to new features before they're released to the public. Your feedback helps us improve the app and fix bugs before the official launch.
How do I sign up as a beta tester?
- Go to our Beta Tester Registration page
- Fill in your name, email, and phone number
- Select your platform (iOS or Android)
- Read and sign the Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)
- Submit the form — you'll see "Check your email"
- Open the email from PressBlk and click "Verify My Email"
- After verification, you get access to your Media Library and bug reporting
Is the beta program free?
Yes, the beta testing program is completely free. You won't be charged anything for participating. Any in-app purchases during the beta period are made in a sandbox (test) environment.
Which platforms are supported?
Currently, beta testing is available for iOS (iPhone and iPad) via Apple TestFlight. Android beta testing is coming soon — you can register now and we'll notify you when it becomes available.
iOS & TestFlight
What is TestFlight?
TestFlight is Apple's official platform for beta testing iOS apps. It's a free app available on the App Store that lets you install and test pre-release versions of apps. Apple requires all iOS beta testing to go through TestFlight.
How do I install the beta version on my iPhone?
- Download TestFlight from the App Store (it's free)
- After registering, check your email for an invitation from TestFlight
- Open the invitation link on your iPhone — it will open TestFlight
- Tap "Accept" and then "Install"
- PressBlk will appear on your home screen with an orange dot indicating it's a beta version
I didn't receive the TestFlight invitation email. What should I do?
- Check your spam/junk folder — the email comes from Apple (no-reply@email.apple.com)
- Make sure the email you registered with matches your Apple ID
- The invitation can take up to 48 hours to arrive
- If you still haven't received it, contact us at support@pressblk.com
How do I update to the latest beta version?
When a new beta build is available, you'll receive a push notification and an email. Open TestFlight, find PressBlk, and tap "Update". You can also enable automatic updates in TestFlight settings.
What iOS version do I need?
PressBlk requires iOS 15.1 or later. Most iPhones from iPhone 7 and newer are supported.
Testing & Feedback
What should I test?
Use the app as you normally would! Key areas to focus on:
- Browse — search and discover Black-owned businesses
- Shopping — add items to cart, checkout process
- Account — registration, login, profile settings
- Subscriptions — try premium features
- General — performance, navigation, visual glitches
How do I report a bug or give feedback?
Use your Media Library — this is the main way to report bugs:
- Open your Media Library (from Home Screen or welcome email)
- Upload screenshots of the bug
- Click "Report Bug" at the bottom
- Fill the 4-step form — your screenshots are ready to attach
The app crashed. What should I do?
Don't worry — crashes during beta are expected. When the app crashes, TestFlight automatically sends a crash report to our development team. If you can, note what you were doing right before the crash and send that context via the feedback form. Reopen the app and continue testing.
Will I lose my data between beta updates?
No, your account data (profile, orders, favorites) is stored on our servers and persists across updates. Local settings like dark mode preferences may occasionally reset when we make major changes, but this is rare.
Bug Reports & Tickets
What is the ticket system?
The ticket system is our tool for tracking bug reports and feature requests from beta testers. When you find an issue or have an idea, you submit a ticket through the Report Bug link in your personal Media Library. Our development team reviews each ticket and works on fixing the issues in upcoming builds.
How do I create a ticket?
Open your Media Library and click Report Bug. Follow the 4-step form:
- Step 1 — What & Where: Enter the email you registered with, select Bug or Feature, and choose the app section (Feed, Checkout, Chat, etc.)
- Step 2 — Describe It: Write a clear title and detailed description. Attach screenshots or screen recordings (up to 5 files).
- Step 3 — Details: For bugs — describe what you expected vs. what actually happened. For features — describe your idea.
- Step 4 — Priority & Submit: Set the priority level (Low, Medium, High, Critical) and submit.
Do I need a login to submit a ticket?
No separate account needed. You must verify your email first (click the link in your welcome email). After that, when creating a ticket, just enter the same email you registered with — the system recognizes you automatically.
What's the difference between a Bug and a Feature request?
- Bug: Something is broken or not working as expected. Examples: app crashes, buttons don't respond, page doesn't load, wrong data displayed.
- Feature: A new idea or improvement you'd like to see. Examples: dark mode for a specific page, new sorting options, additional payment methods.
How do I choose the right priority?
- Low: Minor visual glitch or cosmetic issue. The app still works fine.
- Medium: Something doesn't work right, but there's a workaround. Example: a filter doesn't apply correctly.
- High: A major feature is broken and there's no workaround. Example: can't complete checkout.
- Critical: The app crashes, data is lost, or a security issue. Example: app crashes every time you open cart.
What makes a good bug report?
A great bug report helps us fix the issue faster. Include:
- Steps to reproduce: Exactly what you did before the bug appeared (e.g. "1. Open app, 2. Go to Search, 3. Type 'barber', 4. Tap first result")
- Expected result: What should have happened
- Actual result: What happened instead
- Screenshots or video: Visual proof makes it much easier to understand
- Device info: Your iPhone model and iOS version (e.g. iPhone 14, iOS 17.4)
Can I attach screenshots and videos?
Yes! Two ways to attach files:
Tip: Upload screenshots to your Media Library from your phone first, then create the ticket from your computer — pick screenshots from the library without transferring files.
- From Media Library: Screenshots you already uploaded from your phone will appear in Step 2 of the ticket form. Just tap to select them.
- From this device: You can also upload new files directly from your computer or phone.
Tip: Upload screenshots to your Media Library from your phone first, then create the ticket from your computer — pick screenshots from the library without transferring files.
What happens after I submit a ticket?
- Your ticket is assigned status "To Do" and added to our development queue
- A developer reviews the ticket and may change it to "In Progress"
- Once fixed, the ticket is marked "Done" and the fix is included in the next beta build
- You'll receive the fix in your next TestFlight update
Can I submit multiple tickets?
Yes, absolutely! Please submit one ticket per issue. If you find three different bugs, create three separate tickets. This helps us track and prioritize each issue independently. After submitting, click "Submit Another Ticket" to create a new one.
Media Library
What is the Media Library?
The Media Library is your personal storage for screenshots and recordings. Instead of uploading files every time you create a ticket, you can save screenshots to your library first and then pick them when filing a report. Each tester has their own private library accessible via a unique link.
How do I access my Media Library?
After registration, you receive a welcome email with a "Verify My Email" button. Click it — this verifies your email and opens a page with a link to your Media Library. Open the library on your iPhone, tap Share → Add to Home Screen — now you have instant access like an app.
How do I upload screenshots to my library?
- Find a bug → take a screenshot on your iPhone (Side button + Volume Up)
- Open your Media Library page (link from the welcome email, bookmark it!)
- Tap the upload area → select screenshots from your camera roll
- You can upload multiple files at once (up to 50 total)
How do I use library images in a bug report?
When creating a ticket via the Report Bug link in your Media Library:
- Enter your email in Step 1
- In Step 2, you'll see a "Pick from your Media Library" section with thumbnails of your uploaded screenshots
- Tap the images you want to attach — they'll get a blue border and a checkmark
- You can also upload new files below the library strip
- Maximum 5 attachments total (library + new uploads combined)
Is my Media Library private?
Yes. Your library is accessible only via your personal unique link (a 64-character token in the URL). No one else can view or upload to your library. Do not share this link publicly — treat it like a password.
Are there any limits?
- Maximum 50 files per library
- Maximum 10 MB per file
- Supported formats: JPG, PNG, GIF, HEIC, WebP, MP4, MOV
Can I delete uploaded screenshots?
Yes. Hover over (or long-press on mobile) any image in your library and tap the X button to delete it. Note: if the image was already attached to a ticket, the ticket attachment will remain — only the library copy is removed.
I lost my Media Library link. How do I get it back?
Search your email for "Welcome to PressBlk Beta Testing Program" — click "Verify My Email", then on the verification page click "Open My Media Library". Bookmark it this time! If you can't find the email, contact support@pressblk.com and we'll resend it.
NDA & Privacy
Why do I need to sign an NDA?
The NDA protects unreleased features and business information. As a beta tester, you may see features that aren't ready for public release. The NDA ensures this information stays confidential so we can iterate freely without competitive concerns.
Can I share screenshots or talk about the beta publicly?
No. Under the NDA, you may not share screenshots, screen recordings, or details about unreleased features on social media, forums, or with anyone outside the beta program. You may discuss the app's publicly available features only.
What data do you collect from beta testers?
We collect your name, email, phone number, platform preference, and NDA signature during registration. During testing, Apple TestFlight may collect crash logs and usage analytics. We do not share your personal data with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
General
How long does the beta program last?
The beta program runs continuously. Each TestFlight build is valid for 90 days. We release new builds regularly, so you'll always have access to the latest version. We'll notify you if the program ends or transitions to a public release.
Can I leave the beta program?
Yes. Open TestFlight, find PressBlk, scroll down and tap "Stop Testing". You can also delete the app from your device. The NDA terms remain in effect for 2 years regardless. If you want to rejoin later, contact us at support@pressblk.com.
Will my beta account carry over to the public release?
Yes. Your account, profile, favorites, and order history will carry over seamlessly to the public App Store version. You'll simply download the public release and log in with the same credentials.
